The Nigeria Democratic Congress Party (NDCP) has called on all Nigerians to pray for the peace of the country and God’s guidance for its leaders.
In a statement on Wednesday by its Presidential Candidate and Founder, Dr Johnson Edosomwan, the party called for prayers for the nation as elections approached.
“ The recent happenings in the country calls for a time of sober reflection and the seeking of God’s face”
“ As a people, we need to pray for the peace of this country and for direction for its leadership”
“Nigeria is our home and we cannot stand aside and watch as events threaten our sovereignty as a nation”
“ As the security forces work tirelessly to put an end to the shedding of innocent blood in the country, the country must unite in prayers even as elections barrel down on us”.
The NDCP opined that while government needs to do a lot more to secure the lives and property of Nigerians all over the country particularly in the North Central, it is not out of place for Nigerians to pray for their country.
Edosomwan said if voted into power in 2019, his party would reform the security apparatus of the country in a further bid to secure Nigerians both within and outside its borders.
